Absorption-delay Models of Heat Transport
نویسندگان
چکیده
A temperature jump in the water traveling through a pipe is delayed by the absorption of heat into the pipe wall. The convective transport of heat by the water and the conductive exchange with the interior pipe wall are described by a singular micromodel. The limiting form is a distributed microstructure model, which is successively better approximated by simpler firstand second-order kinetic models. This identification is used to validate and calibrate these classical multiple-temperature models which describe the delay.

Dynamic object-oriented heat-exchanger models for simulation of fluid property transitions
Object-oriented heat-exchanger models were developed to simulate the dynamic thermal effects of dynamic changes in fluid composition and thus of fluid properties in a type of liquid typical for food products. The models were written in the object-oriented language Modelica as objects in a library structure being developed to simulate complex liquid food process lines and their control systems. ...

Mixed convection fluid flow and heat transfer of water-Al2O3 nanofluid inside a lid-driven square cavity has been examined numerically in order to find the optimal distribution of discrete heat sources on the wall of a cavity. The effects of different heat source length, Richardson number and Grashof number on optimal heat source location has been investigated. Moreover, the average Nusselt num...
متن کاملExperimental Investigation of Heat Transfer Enhancement in a Finned U-Shaped Heat Pipe of CPU Cooling System Using Different Fluids
This paper experimentally studies the heat absorption performance of a heat sink with vertical embedded heat pipes in the aluminum blade. The cooling system with embedded heat pipes distributes heat from the CPU to both the base plate and the heat pipes, and then transfer heat from fins to the Environment. The thermal resistance and heat transfer coefficient are evaluated for natural convection...

A numerical simulation of reactive swirling methane/air non-premixed flame in a new three-dimensional model combustion chamber is carried out to assess the performance of two thermal radiation models, namely, the Discrete Transfer Radiation Model and the P-1 Model. A Finite Volume staggered grid approach is employed to solve the governing equations. The second-order upwind scheme is applied for...
متن کاملAn Investigation into the Role of P-Glycoprotein in the Intestinal Absorption of Repaglinide: Assessed by Everted Gut Sac and Caco-2 Cell Line
The present study aimed at exploring the potential of the P-glycoprotein (P-gp) transporters as a barrier to the repaglinide (REG) epithelial permeability. In-vitro intestinal absorption models, the everted gut sac, and Caco-2 cell line, were used to study the possible role of P-gp in intestinal transport of REG. In the everted gut sacs, apparent permeability coefficients showed cargo concentra...
